The Passing of a Good Friend
Ken was 40, a father with young kids, and a happy marriage. I don't know the exact cause of his death, but it was very much a surprise. Ken was a SQL Server expert and author like me and we often shared a beer at the various conferences every year, as well as emailed and talked often.
If you read my blog with any regularity, you might've noticed a link on the lower left entitled The Antichristian Philosopher. This was Ken's blog and covered his thoughts on atheism and the shortcomings of Christians. Ken was a devoted Christian for much of his life and even went to seminary. But like many people, Ken's experience proved the old adage "The best thing for Christianity is Christians, the worst thing for Christianity is Christians."
Although this is an element of Ken, I really don't want to focus on it. He was a great guy, a brilliant mind, a loving family man, and a good friend. I'll miss him greatly.
I was a reviewer on the unfinished book that Ken was working on and must have read each chapter at least 5 times. I was really impressed with chapter one (philosophy) and hope that the book will be released. Of course bringing in other authors won't make it the same as if Ken wrote it.
I doubt that a lot of people were aware of his Infidelis blog but if you followed his other two blogs you could find it by connecting the dots (you know what I mean)
